Most weight loss advice benefits the giver more than the person receiving it, and most of it doesn’t help. What I’ve learned, both professionally and personally, is that the biology of weight is far more complex than most people are told.
For some, these newer medications can change what’s possible - not just in weight, but in mental space, energy, and a deeper sense of ease.
When you book a visit, you’ll be working with me directly. One doctor, one conversation, one step at a time.

I’m licensed in Michigan, so I can only see patients who are physically located in Michigan at the time of their visit, even if we meet by video.
Initial visits must be in person. Once we’ve established care, follow-ups can often be done virtually (as long as you're in Michigan during the visit).
To be eligible for these medications, you must meet certain medical criteria and not have any conditions that would exclude their use. We’ll go over all of this together.
Yes, as long as you are physically located in Michigan at the time of the call.
No. You just need to be in Michigan for any telehealth appointment. If you’re able to travel here for in-person care, that works too.
Not necessarily. We’ll talk through your medical history and eligibility. If you meet the criteria and want to try it, I’ll walk you through the options.
I don’t bill insurance directly, but I can give you a detailed receipt (called a superbill) that you can submit to your insurance company. Depending on your plan, they may reimburse you for part of the visit. PPO plans often reimburse out-of-network visits. HMO and EPO plans usually do not. Medicare and Medicaid will not reimburse for visits with me.
If you’re not sure what kind of plan you have, call your insurer and ask: “Do I have out-of-network benefits for office visits with an MD?”
Most plans want proof that you’ve tried diet, exercise, or older medications before approving newer treatments. If we decide these medications are right for you, I can document your medical need and past efforts.
If insurance doesn’t approve it, paying out of pocket is sometimes an option — and we’ll go over everything together before you make a decision.
